For me, however, nothing is better than a relaxing and delicious brunch. I know the brunch spots in my city like the back of my hand and frequently visit them all.
Every now and then, I like to make brunch myself. Usually, I bake a quiche and maybe whip up some French toast – but, Susanna from the food vlog whats cooking has a much better idea. She wants to show you how to make a delicious strata for your Sunday brunch. If you’ve never had strata before, it’s a cheesy breakfast dish that combines eggs, cheese, bread, and breakfast meats or chopped veggies. Susanna’s secret for this recipe? She uses a Crock-Pot to cook her strata to perfection. Here’s what you need:
- 10 eggs
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 2 1/2 cups of milk
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 16 slices of French bread
- 4 green onions
- 10 slices of bacon
- Aluminum foil
She mixes her ingredients in a bowl, dumps it in a slow cooker, and lets it cook for four hours on a low setting. When it’s done, you can pull the dish out the slow cooker using aluminum foil and you’ve got yourself the perfect brunch. Forget going out to expensive restaurants – the best brunch can be found in your own kitchen.
