Thankfully, there’s a quick and easy solution to the problem that’s literally as easy as spritzing a spray bottle. In this video, you’ll see how a simple mixture of 2 parts rubbing alcohol to 1 part water with a spoonful of dish soap mixed in gets that ice off instantly. It’s actually kind of insane how well this works. Scientifically, alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water/ice (pure ethanol freezes at -174.6º Fahrenheit, whereas water freezes at a mere 32º F), so it makes sense that the alcohol spray would cause the ice to melt.
