In the heart of Tennessee lies a charming country retreat. Country Living Magazine featured the small Farmhouse and called it “idyllic.” The house is part of Shelter + Roost, an organization that rents out country homes to people who want to try out life in the beautiful outdoors.
Many guests are immediately charmed by the large wooden wall in the living room. The wood wall doubles as the home’s fireplace, so it makes the perfect space to cuddle around on cold nights while listening to the crackling of the burning wood.
The Farmhouse’s kitchen is the perfect blend of country aesthetics with modern comfort. A hardwood floor and wooden cabinets frame contemporary stainless steel appliances.
There’s nothing modern about the dining room. A wooden table is surrounded by whittled chairs, with the stone fireplace in the background.
Outside features a wonderful little social area with its own fireplace. This is the spot to be on summer nights!
The Farmhouse’s porch is one of its biggest charms — an exposed wooden ceiling gives the porch an old-fashioned feeling. Love it!
