Recently, research was conducted by the University of Alberta in Canada finding that the health benefits in resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, is similar to those we get from exercise.
Resveratrol was said to improve physical performance, heart function and muscle strength the same as if you exercised in the gym.
Lead researcher, Jason Dyck, said that these findings will particularly help those who are unable to exercise. Studies reveal that those who drink a glass of red wine a day are less likely to develop dementia or cancer, it’s good for your heart, helps with anti-ageing and can regulate blood sugar. So drink up!
