She Rubs A Fresh Tomato On Her Face For 3 Seconds, And The Results Are Amazing

The benefits of a tomato are amazing!  In order to unlock your tomato’s true hidden potential, you’re going to have to get a little up close and personal.

Acne is no fun to deal with. While many of us experience it during our awkward teenage years, many others suffer from it well into adulthood. Sometimes it seems like there are no effective treatments out there no matter how many you try. Not to mention a lot of store-bought products can seriously damage your skin in the long run. Bad acne is caused by clogged glands and follicles on your face. While alcohol pads and face washes might provide you with temporary relief, we’ve found that natural remedies often get to the root of the problem. That’s where tomatoes come in.

Tomatoes are bursting with Vitamins A, C, E, K, and B6. Not only do these vitamins nourish your skin, but they also help reduce the size of your pores. Plus, tomatoes contain salicylic acid, which is a common ingredient in most acne treatments. But, before you go and eat an entire vine of tomatoes, you should know that they are most useful when applied directly to the affected area: your face. Here are our three favorite ways to use tomatoes as a facial cleanser. Even if you don’t suffer from acne, these methods will have your skin looking and feeling healthier in no time.

1. Tomato Rub

It doesn’t get much simpler than this. Simply cut off a tomato slice and rub it on the areas of your face that are affected by acne. Once you’ve finished, take a moment to massage the tomato juice into your skin, rinse, and you’re done! It won’t produce the best results, but it’s a great way to nourish your skin in a pinch.

2. Tomato Face Mask

Face masks have been a health and beauty staple for a long time, but did you know that tomatoes make the perfect secret ingredient? You’ll want to start by taking a tomato and removing its skin. This can be done by slicing an “X” shape on top and placing it under warm, running water. Once the skin feels loose, peel it off, remove the seeds, and mash up the remains. Once it has formed a pasty consistency, apply it to your face and allow it to sit for about an hour before rinsing it off. If you want a thicker consistency, as well as some added health benefits, don’t be afraid to mix in some yogurt, oatmeal, or cucumber!

3. Tomato Juice Face Wash

Does wearing a tomato face mask for an hour sound a little too intense? Combine one tablespoon of tomato juice with a bit of lemon juice (a few drops will do) and rub it onto your face. Wait about five minutes before rinsing with warm water.
