Pork Chops In A Slow Cooker With Just Two Final Ingredients Is Delicious

The beauty of a slow cooker is that you can cook all your ingredients in one pot, be it vegetables, sauce or meat you can mix everything together or layer each ingredient. Regardless, once it’s cooked, your dinner is cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor.

In this hearty recipe from The Magical Slow Cooker, layers of sliced potatoes, onions, barbecue sauce and pork come together to form a flavorful dinner on their own. With bacon and cheese topping it all, the dish elevates to a whole new level of tastiness you’ll want to eat every night.

Begin by laying down slices of potatoes along the bottom of the slow cooker. The Slow Cooker used regular potatoes here, but a nice sweet potato would also be a good substitute!

On top of the potato, you’ll add a layer of slice onions, barbecue sauce and finally your pork chops with more barbecue sauce on top. You can add a couple more vegetables if you’d like or you can switch out barbecue sauce for a mixture of your choosing instead. Regardless, you’ll let the entire dish cook for a few hours to get the pork full cooked through and juicy.

You’ll then add the crowning glory of the dish, a few generous slices of cooked bacon and some slices of cheese. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook through for a few minutes to get the cheese nice and gooey. The Magical Slow Cooker used a cheddar / jack cheese, but you could easily substitute your own cheese or use shredded instead of slices.
