Trudy Serres, a bus driver from Wisconsin, is dedicated to the lives of the children on her route.
Her favorite hobby is crocheting. She crochets as a way to kill time before picking her students up from school.
The kids are interested in what she makes. One day, a little boy named Vincent asked her to make something special. Vincent’s favorite food is tacos, and he dared Trudy to crochet a taco.
She told him that she had never made anything like that before but agreed to try and it was finished in two days.
She gave the finished taco to Vincent, who was so excited he showed it off to all the kids on the bus!
It did not take long for the other kids to ask Mrs. Trudy to make them special toys too. That’s when she asked all 34 of the students on her bus what they wanted her to make.
She began right away searching for patterns for toys. She made everything from Star Wars characters to unicorns, food items, animals, and a mustache on a stick.
Parents, teachers and the principal were very impressed.
Parents told Trudy that the kids take the toys to bed, church, daycare, and even vacation.
“I didn’t think it would go this far, but I’m glad you guys actually like them,’” Serres told the parents.
