Zippers make dressing so easy, but with one little change, they can stop working and turn into a huge pain. Their usefulness doesn’t end with clothes, either. Think about all of the different things in your life that require zippers. Purses, backpacks and tents all hinge on whether or not these tiny metal teeth function properly. Therefore, it’s important to know how to fix a zipper that’s gotten stuck.
Luckily, the folks at UCAN Zippers USA showed this little hack that just might help. So, what to do in the case of a sticky zipper? There are a few methods you can use to un-stick your zipper, but the easiest one involves using ordinary wax paper. In case you don’t already know, wax paper has a ton of great uses including cheese storage and cleaning your iron.
Rip off a piece of wax paper and fold it several times to make it nice and thick. Then, unzip the offending zipper completely and run the wax paper over the teeth back and forth. Repeat on the other side of the zipper, using the unused side of the paper. Unless the zipper is really stuck, this simple trick should fix the problem.
