A Gorilla Starts Running Towards Them With This In Her Hand…

Gorillas are one of the most majestic animals in the world.

Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda is home to one of the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas. There are around 880 of these gorillas left in the world, and over 400 of them live in this preserve. The gorillas that reside here live quiet and secluded lives, far away from any human contact. Recently, the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International was searching for a particular gorilla that had disappeared deep into the forest. When they found her, they discovered something they never expected to see.

This is Isaro, a 16-year-old female gorilla who caught the attention of research trackers when she disappeared into the forest.

So they went on a mission to find her, and when they finally caught up, they noticed something incredible.

Isaro had given birth to twins and was nursing both of the infants in her arms.

Many newborn gorillas don’t survive infancy, so the mother makes sure to always keep a tight grasp on them.

The news of the twins brought joy to the hearts of the researchers who have worked so hard to revive the dwindling population of gorillas, which has been devastated by poachers.

Isaro also had two other babies before the birth of the twins. The others, ages 3 and 6, are still around and love their new siblings as much as their mother does.

The twins look identical to each other, and researchers say Isaro has done a fantastic job raising both of them – a difficult task for any parent, gorilla or otherwise.

The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International says only three sets of twins currently exist in the entire mountain gorilla population, which goes to show just how remarkable this discovery is.

The twins are already on their way to becoming powerful adults, and you can bet Isaro will be there to help them.
