It is a pretty well-known fact that the pilots of fighter jets can do amazing things with their aircraft. The Blue Angels are a perfect example of this, whirling and twirling through the skies and leaving spectators in awe. They may be the most famous example, but all fighter pilots need to know how to maneuver their aircraft with skill and precision. Take this Polish pilot, for instance, who has managed to take off in his Mikoyan MiG-29 “Fulcrum” in a rather unconventional way.
The pilots of the Polish Air Force are known for their skills in the cockpit, so what happens here may not come as much of a surprise to anyone familiar with their reputation, but that doesn’t make it any less entertaining to watch. The spectacular feat took place recently, at the Royal International Air Tattoo. It’s the world’s largest military air show, held in Gloucestershire, U.K., at RAF Fairford.
