Jimmy Fallon Writes “Thank You Notes” With President Obama And It Is Hilarious

If the President of the United States is listed as a guest on a talk show, odds are the edition of that show is going to be a very special one.

During President Barack Obama’s Thursday night appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Fallon did everything he could to make the whole episode go viral.

During the interview portion of the night, Obama got frank with Fallon about his thoughts on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her challenger to be President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Spoiler alert: President Obama is a big fan of Clinton, not so big a fan of Trump.

On the very special edition of the show, Fallon also had the president perform in two classic recurring bits: Thank You Notes and Slow Jam the News.

In the former sketch, President Obama thanked everyone from Congressional Republicans to his old campaign slogan.

“[Thanks] for spending eight years wishing you could replace me with a Republican,” Obama wrote to congress.

After a photo of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump flashed on screen Obama asked the Republican leadership.

“How do you like me now?”

During the president’s appearance on “Slow Jam the News,” he looked back on his legacy as Fallon added some dulcet jazz undertones that made everything sound a little bit sexual.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve as your president over the past eight years,” Obama said.

“Aw yeah,” Fallon chimed in. “President Obama stimulated long-term growth,” with an emphasis on the word stimulated.
